5310-01-496-7142 A nut having 12 drive points, 24 sides, flat on the bottom and having a slotted cylindrical or dome shaped upper portion. An integral feature is incorporated for locking on the threads of a mating member. The slots when used in conjunction with a solid or split (cotter) pin, act as an extra "fail safe" feature in critical applications.
