Product Details | GIMBAL CHRONOMETER CASE
6645-00-290-2232 A hardwood case consisting of three sections. The bottom section includes a pivoted metal ring to which are affixed two pivots for retaining a chronometer and a lock for immobilizing the gimbals; the middle section contains a window for reading; the top section is a lid. The three sections snap together with spring catches. This case is intended to keep a chronometer fitted with pivot mountings in a level, dial-up position if the case is shifted or tipped. It is never used as a case for shipping. Excludes CASE (2), MAKE-BREAK CIRCUIT CHRONOMETER.
