It is designed with a compensator which can be adjusted so that the measured electromotive force, corrected to a standard reference temperature, can be read directly from a scale. It can be used as a pH meter. Excludes RESISTOR, VARIABLE, WIRE WOUND; RESISTOR, VARIABLE, NONWIRE WOUND; METER, HYDROGEN ION TEST; and PYROMETER (as modified).
